Therapeutic services

  • Individual Therapy

I offer individual therapy to adolescent, young adult, and adult clients. Individual therapy sessions are 50 minutes long. Sessions may be held either in person or remotely via telehealth if clinically appropriate. Please visit the faqs page for more information on fees for individual therapy sessions.

  • EMDR & Flash Technique

I offer the option of Flash Technique and EMDR therapy for all presenting challenges. In EMDR, a body-based and highly evidenced therapy, we use bilateral stimulation to activate the brain’s natural healing system. EMDR offers an alternative to talk therapy and an opportunity to heal on a neurobiological level. I often incorporate Flash Technique in the preparation stages of EMDR therapy, but it can also be used as a stand-alone intervention.

  • Relationships

Relationships can be challenging, whether it’s with a family member, friend, partner, coworker, boss, or anyone else — past or present. Relational work in therapy may include processing, exploring communication styles and skills, boundaries, and needs.

  • Anxiety

When worries are getting in the way of fully living, anxiety may be at play. Anxiety work in therapy may include developing coping skills, exploring thought patterns, learning to identify and counter unhelpful thoughts, expanding tolerance of life’s unknowns, and uncovering underlying beliefs.

  • Eating Disorders

Eating disorder work in therapy is complex. It may include exploring core beliefs, relationships, coping skills, traumas, emotional regulation, emotional expression, communication, current behaviors, psychoeducation, and education around the levels of care in eating disorder treatment. Eating disorder therapy involves therapist collaboration with other providers on your treatment team.

  • Self Esteem

Self-esteem work in therapy requires patient introspection and self-reflection. We may consider topics such as how do you feel towards yourself? What does your self-talk sound like? What factors have influenced your self-esteem? What defines you? In what ways might you hold yourself back?

  • Life Transitions

Whether you’ve recently graduated from school, moved, started or ended a relationship, started a job, lost a job, or experienced any other major change, processing and coping with significant life transitions in therapy is valuable and courageous work to dive into. This work might include developing coping skills, processing, getting connected to resources, or exploring grief.

  • What We Might Try

I use a variety of tools when working with clients, and I always strive to offer strategies that suit each unique client. Some examples of things I may invite you to participate in during the therapeutic process include mindfulness, grounding strategies, EMDR, journaling, body awareness, emotional regulation strategies, and skills from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). I’m willing to get creative & explore together what works best for you!
